Image Reference · Family photos
Upload a photo of each family member, describe where you want everyone together, and Image Reference composes one portrait with all of them in the frame. It is the family photo you never managed to take, for a holiday card, a frame or the group chat. Use your own family photos, with everyone's permission.

Example 01
Prompt
Put the people from all the photos together in one warm family portrait on a living room sofa, everyone smiling at the camera, soft window light from the left, matching cream knit sweaters, natural photo style, keep each face exactly as in their photo
Example 02
Prompt
Combine everyone into one outdoor family photo on a beach at sunset, standing in a loose row with the adults at the back and the children in front, golden backlight, relaxed candid poses, realistic photo, keep each person's face and hair as in their photo
The same four photos as example 01. Nano Banana Pro, left, and the same prompt on Nano Banana 2, right.
Example 03
Prompt
One family portrait of everyone in the photos, painted as a classic oil portrait in a wood-paneled room, seated and standing in two rows, rich warm tones, visible brush texture, keep every face recognizable
The same four photos again. This came back closer to a photo than a visible oil painting. Push the style words, like thick brush strokes, if you want paint.

04 · Good to know
A sharp, front-facing photo with even light gives the model the most to hold on to. Sunglasses, hats and heavy filters make faces drift.
Say who goes where: adults at the back, children in front, grandparents seated. Without directions the model invents an arrangement, and heights may not match real life.
End the prompt with keep each face exactly as in their photo. It tells the model that likeness comes first.
Photos taken years apart clash. Asking for matching sweaters or one color theme pulls everyone into the same moment.
For a framed print, run the pick through the Image Upscaler at 4K or 8K. An 8 x 10 inch print at 300 DPI needs 2400 x 3000 pixels.
You upload a separate photo of each person, describe the scene, and the model composes one new image with everyone in it, keeping their faces as close to their photos as it can. On Imgica this runs in Image Reference on models such as Nano Banana 2.
Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro take up to 14 reference photos in one run. Likeness holds best with smaller groups, so for a big family try a few takes or build the photo in two steps.
Close, but not guaranteed. Clear front-facing photos, Nano Banana Pro and the phrase keep each face exactly as in their photo all help. Faces can drift, so compare a few takes.
Yes. Add a clear photo of the pet as one more reference and say where it sits, for example the dog lying at everyone's feet.
Photos you have the right to use, of people who are happy to be in the picture: your own family, with their agreement. Never public figures or anyone who has not agreed.
