Amazon KDP's help pages give 2,560 pixels high by 1,600 wide as the ideal ebook cover, a 1.6:1 shape, in JPEG or TIFF. A 2:3 render is slightly wider than that, so crop the sides a little, then upscale until it is at least 2,560 pixels tall.
KDP asks you to tell it about AI-generated content, and it lists cover images as AI-generated images, even after you edit them. Tick the disclosure when you publish.
Readers judge genre in a second. Thrillers lean on dark scenes and tall condensed type, fantasy on painted landscapes and ornate serifs, nonfiction on clean space and one strong object. Say the genre in the prompt.
